Angela Hehir

Project Manager, Australian Health Research Register
Angela started at the George Institute in February 2020, working with Dr Clare Arnott on creation of a disease agnostic participant health research register.
Angela has qualifications in Science, Education, Nutrition & Dietetics and Public Health. Prior to starting on this project, Angela managed the Heart Foundation’s Women & Heart Disease program and prior to that was Manager, Research and Evaluation Service at NSW Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Service. Angela has always had a strong commitment to equity and has worked extensively with socio-economically disadvantaged, culturally and linguistically diverse and incarcerated communities. Her most recent role with the Heart Foundation, highlighted the importance of diversity in research and this is one of the outcomes her current project will work toward.
