Forming of a strong cooperative bond to facilitate health education and promotion in China
The George Institute China and China Center for Health Education officially achieved a cooperative intention during the 11th China Health Education and Promotion Conference. The two parties will work together to safeguard and enhance the health of people, actively transfer scientific health-care knowledge, and improve national health literacy.
Ms. Zhu Yunyun, Director of Finance and Operation of the George Institute China, and Mr. Li Changning, Director of China Center for Health Education signed an MOU on behalf of both parties.
The bond between The George Institute China and China Center for Health Education began to form in the Action on Salt China (ASC) program, where the two sides carried out a series of fruitful cooperation to reduce the salt intake of Chinese people, and produced a collection of health education promotional materials for salt reduction. This cooperation will focus on health promotion and education in areas including nutrition and lifestyle, prevention and control of chronic diseases, maternal and child health, injury and mental health etc.
Professor Craig Anderson, Executive Director of The George Institute China, expressed his strong confidence.

Professor Zhang Puhong, Associate Director of The George Institute China and Director of ASC (China), said, “We will base upon the strong research capability of the George Institute for Global Health in the prevention and management of chronic diseases and actively provide professional support for the health education in China.”
Mr. Li Changning, Director of China Center for Health Education, strengthened the significant role the Center has played regarding offering technical support, business guidance, professional consultation and policy advice etc., as a national-level professional institution in providing health educational guidance.
