Professor Craig Anderson from TGI has been honored as a Guest Professor of Chengdu Medical College

On 19 April 2017, Professor Craig Anderson, Executive Director of the George Institute China received a new appointment as a guest professor at Chengdu Medical College (CMC).

CMC, founded in the liberation War, was detached in 2004 from Third Military Medical University in accordance with the joint decision of the State Council and the Military Commission of the Central Committee of CPC as an independent college.

Professor Junming Fan, President of CMC, warmly received Prof Anderson and provided general information with respect to its historical evolution, development orientation, basic conditions, disciplines and specialties, teaching staff, talent training, scientific research, feature building, and social services.  He hopes this will deepen an understanding and lay a solid foundation for future cooperation.

Prof Anderson said that he was impressed by CMC's advanced management concepts, broad vision and enthusiasm for teaching and scientific research in a rapidly expanding population in the north of Chengdu. On the occasion of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the college, he sincerely wished CMC every success of even greater achievements and development.

At the meeting, Prof Fan, and Prof. Hui Mao, vice-president of CMC issued a letter of appointment for Prof. Anderson, as a Guest Professor for the next 5 years.
